The CGC Management Team is responsible for strategic decisions and execution of the CGC program. The scientific director acts as chairman of the management team. The management team will seek advice and comments from the CGC scientific committee, which consists of all participants of the CGC. This committee discusses scientific progress and future plans of the Centre and advises the management on strategic matters. The scientific director acts as chairman of the scientific committee.

The CGC management team is aided by an Advisory Board that consists of representatives from the scientific community as well as societal and industrial stakeholders. The advisory board provides - both requested and non-requested – advise to the CGC management team. Its members are consulted on a regular basis by the directors on matters regarding the overall strategy of the CGC:

Prof.dr. P. (Peter) van der Vliet, former Vice-President of the KNAW and current chairman of the Science Division of the KNAW
Dr. E. (Els) Borst-Eilers, chairperson of the Netherlands Federation for Cancer Patient Organizations (NFK) and former Minister of Health
Dr. R. (Rian) de Jonge, former head of research of Solvay Pharmaceuticals and currently involved in management support of small biotech companies through ‘Guide Management’
The CGC has installed a Valorisation Board that serves as an advisory board to the management team and is available for consultancy for the CGC PI’s. This board operates on a consultancy base. Its members are:

Dr. Johan Renes, registered European patent attorney and partner in the Intellectual Property Expert Group (IPEG)
Mr. Pieter van der Meer. Senior partner in Gilde Investment and board member of Agendia, one of the most successful spin-offs of GCG
Dr. Gerard van Odijk, former Senior Vice President and Area Director of GlaxoSmithKline Northern Europe, since 2006 president and CEO of Teva Pharmaceutical Europe B.V.
